The Associated Press reports today that toy maker Hasbro will release a pair of goggles called “My3D” that can be connected to the iPhone or iPod Touch allowing users to view 3D content. The device, which will carry a price tag of $30, is intended to provide an enhanced viewing experience for games and entertainment content.

The Hasbro device will not convert current content to look 3D but instead will rely on 3D content provided through apps and videos on the iPhone or iPod. Hasbro has teamed up with Dreamworks Animation to develop material and also plans to offer content from Discovery, Sony and Imax.

Apple assisted in the development of the My3D which will be available next spring in stores where iOS devices are sold.
